Raise the stakes & make your sirloin steak taste memorable & delicious with this steak rub recipe featuring Jacobsen Salt Co.’s pure sea salt.

    • 2 Sirloin Steak
    • 1 tsp Onion powder
    • 1 tsp Garlic powder
    • 1 tsp Paprika
    • 1 tsp Chili powder
    • 1 tsp Brown sugar
    • 1 tbsp Jacobsen salt
    • 1 tbsp Ground black pepper
    • 2 Sirloin Steak
    • 1 tsp Onion powder
    • 1 tsp Garlic powder
    • 1 tsp Paprika
    • 1 tsp Chili powder
    • 1 tsp Brown sugar
    • 1 tbsp Jacobsen salt
    • 1 tbsp Ground black pepper

When ready to cook, start the Traeger grill on Smoke with the lid open until the fire is established (4 to 5 minutes). Set the temperature to High and preheat (about 10-15 minutes). Do not open the grill during this period of time to ensure it is really hot.

Take the steaks out of the fridge and pat dry with a paper towel. This will help you get grill marks.

In a mixing bowl, mix garlic, onion, paprika, brown sugar, chili, salt, and pepper. Rub both sides of the steak with the Jacobsen Salt and pepper.

When the grill is ready, put the steaks on the outer rim of the grill to get the most direct heat to them. Close the lid and wait 3-4 minutes before checking them.

I prefer to cook the steak to desired internal tempter on the one side without flipping it (142° degrees F). When meat reaches that temperature, flip for just one second to seal in flavor.

Pull the steaks and let rest for 5-10 minutes, this is key. Serve and enjoy!
