Give mashed potatoes some pizazz by smoke roasting them to tender perfection on the Traeger.
- 8 large red potatoes
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup butter
- Salt and pepper, to taste

Start your Traeger on Smoke with the lid open until the fire is established (about 4-5 minutes).
Slice red potatoes in half, length wise then cut in half again to make quarters. Season potatoes with salt and pepper.
Increase the heat to 450 degrees F and preheat, with the lid closed, for 10-15 minutes. Once grill is hot, set potatoes directly on the grill grate.
Every 15 minutes flip potatoes to ensure all sides get color. Continue to do this until potatoes are fork tender.
When tender, smash potatoes with cream, butter and salt and pepper to taste. Serve warm, enjoy!
