When you’re not feeling Christmas ham, smother chicken in this festive cranberry BBQ sauce & bake it on your Traeger.

    • 6 bone-in split chicken breasts or 1 broiler fryer cut up
    • 1/2 tsp Jacobsen salt
    • 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
    • 4 Tbsp butter
    • 1/2 cups chopped onion
    • 1/2 cups thinly sliced celery
    • 1 (16 oz) can whole-berry cranberry sauce
    • 1 cup regular or honey barbecue sauce
    • 6 bone-in split chicken breasts or 1 broiler fryer cut up
    • 1/2 tsp Jacobsen salt
    • 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
    • 4 Tbsp butter
    • 1/2 cups chopped onion
    • 1/2 cups thinly sliced celery
    • 1 (16 oz) can whole-berry cranberry sauce
    • 1 cup regular or honey barbecue sauce

Salt and pepper the chicken. Melt butter in a large skillet and brown chicken on all sides. Transfer to a greased 9x13x2 baking dish.

Saute onions and celery in the chicken and butter drippings until tender. Add cranberry and barbecue sauces. Mix well and cook 2-3 more minutes. Pour evenly over top of chicken.

When ready to cook, start the Traeger grill on Smoke with the lid open until the fire is established (4 to 5 minutes). Set the temperature to 350 degrees F and preheat, lid closed, for 10 to 15 minutes.

Bake uncovered at 350 degrees F for 1 1/2 hours or until chicken juices run clear. Spoon sauce over chicken every 15 minutes of baking time.

Arrange chicken on a serving platter and pour sauce over all pieces. Enjoy!
