Our traditional Christmas ham has a lick of hardwood smoke & a lot of sweet holiday flavor.

    • 1 (6-8 lb) fully cooked ham
    • whole cloves
    • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
    • 1/2 cup brown sugar
    • 1/2 cup apple juice
    • 1 heaping tbsp brown mustard
    • dash of ground cinnamon
    • dash of ground ginger

When ready to cook, start the Traeger grill on Smoke with the lid open until the fire is established (4 to 5 minutes). Set the temperature to 325 degrees F and preheat, lid closed, for 10 to 15 minutes.

Line a roasting pan with foil and place a rack in it. Place the ham, fat side up, on rack in the prepared roasting pan.

Score the fat all over in a diamond pattern, cutting to a depth of about 3/4 of an inch. Insert a clove into each intersection, or "X" of the diamond pattern.

Bake the ham at in the Traeger for about 18 minutes per pound, or until meat thermometer or instant read thermometer registers an internal temperature of at least 140° F. If the ham is not fully cooked, it must be cooked to at least 145 degrees F.

    Slice and serve. Enjoy!
