Beef jerky is the perfect protein to eat while hiking or watching the game. This teriyaki meat snack is chewy, smoky, and brings all the flavor to the yard.
- 3 Cups soy sauce
- 2 Cups brown sugar
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 (2 in) piece fresh ginger, peeled
- 1 Tbsp Toasted sesame seed oil
- 4 lb Skirt steak
- 3 Cups soy sauce
- 2 Cups brown sugar
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 (2 in) piece fresh ginger, peeled
- 1 Tbsp Toasted sesame seed oil
- 4 lb Skirt steak
Place all ingredients except for steak in a blender or __food processor and mix well.
Trim all the excess fat from the steak then slice, with the grain, into 1/4-inch thick slices. Combine marinade and steak in a large zip lock bag. Place bag in a bowl and refrigerate for at least 12 or up to 24 hours.
When ready to cook, start the Traeger grill on Smoke with the lid open until the fire is established (4 to 5 minutes). Set the temperature to Smoke and preheat, lid closed, for 5 minutes. *If using a Timberline grill, set temperature to 160 degrees F and press Super Smoke.
Place steak slices on grill leaving a small gap in between each slice. Cook for 5 hours. Remove jerky from grill.
Enjoy warm or cooled to room temperature.
